FTP server
If you are experiencing difficulties with connecting or uploading your data file to our FTP server, please check the suggestions below:
- Firefox users
- Windows users
- MAC users
Firefox users
In order to connect to FTP server with Firefox, you need to install a FireFTP Add-on for Mozilla Firefox.
To do that, choose Tools/Add-ons from main menu in Firefox.
Choose "Get Add-ons" tab, search for Fireftp and click "Add to Firefox".
Click "Install now" button.
Click "Restart Firefox " button.
After restart, go to Tools and click FireFTP.
Create new account.
Host: ftp.posterfestival-ljubljana.si
Login: poster
Password: festival
Click "OK" button.
Navigate to created account and click "Connect".
In the left pane navigate to your file, in the right pane navigate to uploads folder. Double-click your file or select it and click the right arrow.
Mind that after uploading you will not see your file in the folder. You will get a confirmation of succesfully uploaded file by e-mail that you have provided in the Entry form.
MAC users
In order to upload to FTP server, you need to install an FTP client like Cyberduck or use instructions for Firefox FireFTP Add-on.
Windows users
- Run Windows explorer (Windows key + e) and copy the following link in the address bar:
ftp://poster:festival@ftp.posterfestival-ljubljana.si
- Press Enter
- Open the folder "Uploads"
- Copy / Paste your files to this folder
- Mind that after uploading you will not see your file in the folder. You will get a confirmation of succesfully uploaded file by e-mail that you have provided in the Entry form.
If you still cannot connect/upload to FTP server, follow the procedure below and check if the necessary options are checked.
1. Open Control Panel via your Start menu and double click on Internet Options.
2. Select the Advanced tab at the top and scroll down to you see Enable FTP folder view (outside of Internet Explorer) and make sure it is Checked.
3. Scroll down to Use Passive FTP (for Firewall and DSL modem compatibility.) and make sure it is checked. Click OK to save these settings.
4. Copy & paste the following link in Windows Explorer: ftp://poster:festival@posterfestival-ljubljana.si
5. Copy & Paste your file to the folder "Uploads".
